PewterDesk is free to use. It is funded by optional paid upgrades to our own tools and, on some guide pages, by affiliate links.

What an affiliate link is

Some links to third-party products (for example accounting, payroll or invoicing software) are affiliate links. If you click one and later buy or sign up, we may earn a commission from that company. It costs you nothing extra.

How we handle them

• Pages with affiliate links say so near the top, and the links are marked for search engines with rel="sponsored nofollow".
• Commissions don't decide what we recommend. We describe products from their official documentation and our own testing, and we note limitations.
• We don't accept payment for reviews or rankings. If that ever changes for a specific page, the page will say it is sponsored.
• Our own products, such as the converter's Pro unlock and our templates, are clearly ours. Linking to them earns us the sale, not a commission.
